Vice-Chair

Randal Schober is a Professor of Management at Point Loma Nazarene University in the School of Business where he teaches and mentors the concept of an ‘entrepreneurial mindset’ and the importance of creating value personally and professionally.  

Schober holds a Doctorate in Education and recently completed a Post-Doctoral degree in Entrepreneurship and International Business. He is committed to his Christian faith and in his free time enjoys being outdoors surfing or snowboarding. An avid traveler, he loves exploring new places and experiencing unique cultures around the world.  

Randal is an asset to the The Cause board in energy and support for our partners. 

Anne Ongyod
Dan Vahalla
Treasurer

Dan is an active member of his church, and has been helping with missions trips and events for much of his Christian life. His passion is getting involved with projects that eventually lead to self-sustainment.

Dan has worked in high-tech marketing and sales since 1977. He has been married to Mary Vahalla since 1978 and they love to travel together. They have three adult children and one grandchild. Dan envoys sports of all kinds, including golf, basketball, fly fishing, and an occasional triathlon. He has also participated for many years on the United States Senior Basketball Team, competing in tournaments in the U.S. and around the world.

Donna Barton
Donna Barton
Acting Secretary

Donna graduated from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2002 with a Masters of Divinity degree and is currently in the ordination processes. She began her ministry as a volunteer youth advisor and after serving as a volunteer she felt God calling her into full-time ministry. Since that time she has served on staff at several churches, primarily working with youth, but also participating in adult ministries.

Donna has enjoyed speaking at numerous camps and retreats. She also works with engaged couples, preparing them for marriage and officiating over their wedding ceremonies. In recent years, the Lord has called Donna to serve in new ways, officiating over Celebration of Life services and unplanned baptisms, and using the gift of encouragement to come alongside the brokenhearted.

Donna also enjoys life as a retired Flight Attendant, mother of a teenager, and wife to a great man.

Daniel Haverkos

Director

Daniel has been an entrepreneur and real estate investor since 1999. He sold his retirement consulting company in 2017 and hit the road with his wife Bex and their 3 young sons (Matthew, Josiah and Tobias), traveling the US and Canada in an Airstream. His family has been volunteering, caring for those in need and trying to do relationship in a different, more intentional way.

Daniel and Bex participated in the World Race in 2009, founded a non profit called beLOVE in 2011 and have more recently been serving at a leadership academy in Mijas, Spain called G42.

At his core, Daniel is a father. And a son of the Father. In his regular time he loves traveling, playing any sport that has a ball (especially the little white one), and implementing creative solutions in the business, personal finance and missionary arenas.

 

Will Miller
RJ Taylor
Director

RJ is a professional evangelist who believes deeply in the power of people together. He currently serves as Vice President of Phired Up & TechniPhi. Since 2012, RJ has helped start more than 23 fraternity chapters across the country, developed numerous University and inter/national organization marketing strategies, and trained thousands of students in the art and science of gathering people behind a cause.

He previously worked as the Director of Growth for Alpha Tau Omega National Fraternity (ATO), led operations and development for the retail start-up company Wanderlust Outfitters, and led an 11-month,11 country trip around the world with his wife, Kayla. RJ is a proud alumnus of Austin Peay State University (Let's Go Peay!) and even prouder #girldad to his 2-year-old daughter, Ada Wren. Their family is on a mission to visit every country in the world. They have currently visited 36 of 196.

RJ is passionate about helping Cause partners grow their support network and share their stories of God's love and goodness.
